We caught up with Steve and Julie in their current home of Gaborone, Botswana where Julie is a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Botswana. Both Julie and Steve have been on the teaching staff at Overland Expo East and Expo West. They’ve visited over 25 countries in their adventures around the world as Julie continues to follow her passion as a traveling writer and photographer.
As you will hear in their two part episode, Steve is the planner with a good number of helpful insights for planning your next overland trip. Impressively they had nothing on their latest overlanding trip in Africa they didn't use. This speaks volumes to the experience they've gained over the last few years!
This is a wonderful two part episode as we tackle more in-depth questions on cooking setups, why specific gear was chosen, along with tackling the details on finances. Julie and Steve were very generous in providing in-depth knowledge and prospective that will prove extremely valuable to you as you’re planning your next overlanding adventure.
Download their episodes now, sharing them with a friend or two as we listen to their stories of one of their favorite places; the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, along with another new segment of the podcast; road stories! Find out if they were looking for flowers or flour.
